M.Sc. and Ph.D. Assistantships available in Nearshore Hydrodynamics
Positions are available for M.Sc. and Ph.D. students at Washington State University’s Vancouver campus. Students will be supported by research assistantships, teaching assistantships and fee waivers, and will study coastal hydrodynamics with advisor Steve Henderson. Research might address nearshore eddies or wave boundary layers (see http://research.vancouver.wsu.edu/stephen-henderson). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physics, mathematics, oceanography, or coastal engineering. Thesis work may include field measurements, data analysis, and theoretical flow modeling. The Vancouver area offers outstanding outdoor recreational opportunities and ready access to the adjacent city of Portland, Oregon.
